News Article Translators: PSCORE provides the latest news from North Korea to educate and inform North-Koreans, South Koreans and the international community about current events and daily conditions in North Korea. We need volunteers to translate news articles from Korean to English. This is a good opportunity for volunteers who want to know more about the current state of North Korea and who are interested in human rights. Volunteers can work from home. Internships

Human Rights Internship in Seoul: We are seeking interns to work alongside us in Seoul, South Korea. The ideal internship candidate would be a student pursuing a degree in law, political science, Asian Studies sociology, economics, foreign policy, East Asian history or international relations and would have experience related to human rights. A bilingual English/Korean speaker is preferred, however, please do not be discouraged if you are not 100% proficient in either of the languages. We are seeking an exceptional student intern who can develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that will advance PSCORE's brand, broaden awareness of it programs and grow funding in line with PSCORE's objectives. The intern will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with a young, dynamic team to actively promote North Korean human rights. This is an unpaid, full-time position, but we can provide internship credit for suitable candidates.


Responsibilities:

  • plan and carry out events and campaigns
  • building relationships with local organizations
  • ensure consistent and effective communication of PSCORE's brand across all channels
  • report activities on PSCORE website and various social networking services (SNS)
  • manage data collection and analysis of PSCORE's events and campaigns


Qualifications:

  • strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • working knowledge of MS Suite and social media applications
  • familiarity with graphic design principles and software is a plus
  • proficiency in Korean is a plus

We are seeking an exceptional student intern who can assist the organization with its education programs, including customized one-on-one tutorial sessions for North Korean students, as well as weekly conversational English classes for North Korean defectors. PSCORE currently operates the largest 1:1 tutoring program for North Korean students in South Korea. The intern will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with a young, dynamic team to actively promote North Korean human rights. This is an unpaid, full-time position, but we can provide internship credit for suitable candidates.


Responsibilities:

  • maintain and improve database of volunteer teachers and tutors
  • contact students and volunteers regularly
  • establish and maintain partnerships with volunteers
  • conduct interviews with North Korean refugees and volunteers
  • manage matching process between students and volunteers


Qualifications:

  • proficiency in Korean is necessary
  • excellent phone and communication skills
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • working knowledge of MS Suite

성통만사는 북한의 인권개선과 한반도의 평화적 통일을 염원하는 비정부 비정파적인 시민단체로서, 국내 북한인권 관련단체 중 유일하게 유엔 경제사회이사회(UN ECOSOC)로부터 협의기구 지위를 부여 받은 역량 있는 단체입니다.

  • develop and improve organization's web page infrastructure
  • analyze web usage and conduct search engine optimization (SEO)
  • manage and organize web content
  • integrate social media platforms with website to enhance public engagement


Qualifications:

  • working knowledge of web programming languages and content management system (CMS) programs

We are seeking a talented student intern who can enhance PSCORE's communication with general public through creative design solutions. The intern will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with a young, dynamic team to actively promote North Korean human rights. Responsibilities:

  • design and create illustrations for publications and promotion materials
  • work closely with marketing team to perform social media and other marketing tasks
  • contribute original design proposals and build branding strategy
  • improve website layout with engaging graphic communications including, but not limiting to, photos, banners, icons, and infographics


Qualifications:

  • self-starter with strong attention to detail - Working knowledge of design software, e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • ability to multitask and deliver consistent work in a fast-paced environment
  • familiarity with film editing software is a plus
  • proficiency in Korean is a plus

We are seeking an exceptional student intern who can conduct research on human rights abuses in DPRK to support reports, publications, grant applications and financial reports for the PSCORE programs. The intern will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with a young, dynamic team to actively promote North Korean human rights. This is an unpaid, full-time position, but we can provide internship credit for suitable candidates.


Responsibilities:

  • support research duties and prepare reports for upcoming UN events
  • monitor and document human rights abuses in DPRK from a wide variety of sources including, but not limiting to, governments, local media, NGOs, diplomats, and scholars in the field
  • collect and analyze data from testimonies and other information to support ongoing projects
  • prepare advocacy materials, policy briefs, communication messages, position statements relevant to on-going campaigns
  • assist with researching, submitting, and fulfilling grant applications


Qualifications:

  • self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
  • working knowledge of MS Suite
  • proficiency in Korean is a plus
