This Tuesday, 30th April, PSCORE co-organized and co-hosted:
‘Analysis of North Korean Defector’s Demands on Education Programs and Policy Suggestions: The Era of 3,000 North Korean Defector Students’
This international workshop took place at the South Korean National Assembly and was in conjunction with ‘North Korea Freedom Week.’
The event, co-organized by Gil Jung Woo, Cho Myung Chul, Hanns-Seidel-Foundation and PSCORE presented a forum from which proposals and debates regarding integration and unification policies were discussed. Perspectives were offered by professors, teachers and students both outside and within PSCORE’s education program concerning policy suggestions in relation to North Korean defectors’ assimilation into South Korean society.
The event proved to be a success with the Members’ Office Building 2F Meeting room being full to the brim with interested spectators. Both Korean and international visitors attended the event, keen to learn more about the current situation and future proposals.
We would like to thank those of you who attended as well as Gil Jung Woo, Cho Myung Chul and Hanns-Seidel-Foundation for their time and effort in making this event a success.
