Hello!
My name is Jae-In Chang, and I’m from South Korea. I’m a volunteer of PSCORE. I graduated university in the U.S, studying anthropology, which is studying the diverse cultures of humankind. I became a member of PSCORE in November of last year, and am working as a translator and interpreter.
The reason why I decided to help North Korean defectors is because one day I read a book about the human rights situation in North Korean and watched a movie about defectors. As a South Korean, the brutal reality in North Korea is really heartbreaking, and I could empathize with their pains as I grew up.
It isn’t my dream to become a human right activist later on, I am planning to work at trading company. However, I’m dedicating my time to PSCORE because I hope my little contribution can slightly improve human right situation in North Korea.
